Luc Besson’s Dracula: A Love Tale has just revealed its first official trailer, offering a hauntingly romantic new take on Bram Stoker’s timeless legend. The film is set to premiere theatrically in France on July 30, 2025.

The titular role is played by Caleb Landry Jones, best known to Marvel fans as Banshee from X-Men: First Class. Besson’s adaptation reimagines Dracula as a grief-stricken 15th-century prince who turns to darkness after the death of his beloved wife, Elisabeta. Centuries later, in 19th-century Paris, he encounters Mina (portrayed by Zoë Bleu Sidel), the spitting image of Elisabeta — igniting an obsessive and tragic love story.

Christoph Waltz joins the cast as a vampire-hunting priest, with the film’s score composed by the legendary Danny Elfman. Produced by EuropaCorp, Dracula: A Love Tale promises a richly atmospheric blend of gothic romance and horror.

Director Luc Besson describes the film as “a love story about a man who waits 400 years for the reincarnation of his wife,” signaling a more emotional approach to the iconic tale.
