To celebrate the highly anticipated release of X-Men: Dark Phoenix on the 5th June, Cineworld invited Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Alexandra Shipp (Strom) to experience their own trailer in 4DX at Cineworld Leicester Square, capturing their reactions to the immersive effects on camera – a global first for Cineworld.

With stimulating effects like motion, water, wind, scent and strobe lighting, timed with precision to match the epic on-screen battles, 4DX is an extreme cinema experience that can take any film to the next level – and with Sophie Turner’s explosive character set to shake up the X-Men universe, this is one film not to be missed in this highly immersive format, which in the UK and Ireland, is only available at Cineworld. The high-tech motion programming means the seats move and the effects occur in perfect synchronicity with the film, allowing you to feel like you’re part of the action, whether that’s riding in a train carriage, rocketing into space, or standing in the eye of the storm.

With Alexandra Shipp (Storm) claiming afterwards that 4DX is “the future of movie going,” her facial expressions as she was transported into the action, showed just how extreme the cinema experience really is. You can watch Storm and the rest of the cast’s reaction to the 4DX experience here.

With 22 4DX auditoriums in Cineworld cinemas across the UK and Ireland, including the latest addition at The O2 in London Greenwich – you can book tickets here to watch X-Men: Dark Phoenix in 4DX this June for your own immersive multi-sensory cinema experience.
